This Art Workouts hosted afternoon will consist of one hour Releasing, Easing, and Unleashing class taught by Abby Crain, and one hour of Tuning Scores taught by Margit Galanter.

RELEASING, EASING AND UNLEASHING is a movement based practice rooted in Open Source Forms which fosters the dynamic interplay between imagery, consciousness, releasing, and the unpredictable dynamism and mutability of the unfettered body in motion. No movement experience or training is necessary!
TUNING SCORES are great way to explore performance, movement behavior, the shared environment, and communication, altogether. Originated by Lisa Nelson, the Scores are a kaleidoscopic set of explorations that reveal live composition through movement and our multiple senses. Tuning is for people from all backgrounds and disciplines.
MARGIT GALANTER is a movement investigator, collaborator, and dance poet living in Oakland, CA.  She has worked with Tuning Scores for 15 years through practice, teaching, and performance, and has shared the scores extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad, bringing her unique interests to its rich research. Art Site: * PI Practice: *
ABBY CRAIN is an Oakland based artist who makes dances and other scores for performance in fields,  tennis courts,  museums, factory buildings, living rooms,  and the theater.  She teaches throughout the Bay Area and nationally. She is one half of Art Workouts which is an ongoing collaboration around movement, thought,  teaching, curation, and performance with Margit Galanter.
